Dr. Lalithendra Kurra, Professor & Head
B.E. (ECE), M. Tech. (Radar & Microwave Engineering),
Ph.D. (Microwave Engineering, IIT, Delhi)

He received the B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering at Arunai Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, in 2001 and the M. Tech. degree in radar and microwave engineering at the College of Engineering, Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh, in 2004. He joined the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 2009 as a Ph.D. candidate and received the Ph.D. degree in 2015. He worked in CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad from 2004 to 2009, and rejoined CVR college of engineering after Ph.D. in 2015. Presently he is a professor and head of department of ECE at CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad. His research interests are Electromagnetic Bandgap Structures, Metamaterial, Frequency Selective Surfaces, Planar Antennas. He has 6 journal publications, 4 conference publications and 1 book to his credit. He is guiding a research Scholar.

Dr. Nayanathara KS, Principal
B.E. (ECE), M.E. (Microwave and Radar Engineering), Ph.D.

She received B.E. degree in ECE from Osmania University, College of Engineering in 1983 and M.E.in Microwave & Radar Engineering from Osmania University in 1985. She received Ph.D. from REC Warangal in 2003. She was an member of the governing council IETE, and an expert in Electromagnetics, Microwave Devices and Antennas. She is guiding three Ph.D. students.

Dr. Esther Rani Thuraka, Professor
B.Tech. (ECE), M. Tech. (DSCE), Ph.D. (Low Power VLSI)

She completed her B. Tech degree in ECE from G. Pulla Reddy Engineering college, Kurnool, M. Tech degree in from JNTU College of Engineering, Kukatpalli and completed her Ph.D. in low power VLSI from JNTU university, Hyderabad and working as Professor in ECE Department, CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad. She has a total of 22 years of teaching experience. She received Research Award by University Grants commission, New Delhi for three consecutive years 2015,16 and 17 and received a grant of Rs. 46.6 lakhs for the same. Semiconductor Laboratory, Chandigarh, Department of Space has given Chip design tools worth 1 crore to CVR college of Engineering to execute her UGC project. She executed a consultancy project from ECIL, Hyderabad of worth 6.6 lakhs in 2016. She has published many technical papers in international journals and conferences including recent publications in scopus and web of science journals and a textbook on ” Self-sleep Circuits for low power VLSI applications” published by Omniscriptum, a German publishing company in 2017. She received Rs. One lakh seminar grant from AICTE in 2018 and conference grant in May 2021. She has guided many graduates and postgraduates in their projects. Currently she is guiding two Ph.D. scholars.

Dr. Humaira Nishat, Professor

 She received B. Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) in 2000, M. Tech. degree in Digital Systems and Computer Electronics in ECE department in 2004 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTUH, Hyderabad, Telangana in the year 2014. She is having 20 years of teaching and 14 years of research experience. She is working as Professor in the department of ECE, CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Her research interests include Wireless Communications and Networks- Mobile Ad hoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, Vehicular Ad hoc Networks, Heterogenous Networks, Device to Device Communications and IoT. She has guided more than 50 B. Tech. projects and more than 25 MTech projects. She has delivered lectures as a guest speaker in many renowned institutes of Hyderabad like VNRVJIET, Sreenidhi, Narayanamma, Vasavi to name a few. Reviewed many national and international conference and journal papers. She has organized many faculty development programmes, workshops and conference.

Dr. K. Lal Kishore, Dean Research, CVR College of Engineering: Ph.D. from IISc Bengaluru. He served JNTUH,Hyderabad for 35 years in various positions, He served as Director, Principal, Rector, Registrar for over 12 years. He has retired from the post of Vice Chancellor of JNTU Anantapur. He successfully guided 31 Doctorates with many International and National Research Papers and Books. He is Awarded with Best Teacher for the Year 2004, SIR Mokshagundam Visweswaraya Award, 11th IETE – Prof. SVC Aiya Memorial Award in 2007 , Distinguished Indian Award at the International Conference ICSCI 2007, First Bapu Seetharam Memorial Award, Eminent Electronics And Communications Engineer Award, Citation AND Award from Andhra University and IEI, U.P. Government National Award , Award for Outstanding Contribution to World, given by World Chancellors & Vice Chancellors Education Congress, 2014. CCI Technology Education Excellence Award 2014 to JNTUA, Mumbai.Edu Clusion Award at Re-Engineering India Award 2014. He is Elected as Fellow of A.P. Academy of sciences in recognition of contributions to Science and Technology. He also received Certificate of Recognition from DEC, Debrezeit. Recently he has been given “ Life Achievement Award ” by ISTE, AP Section. He is an expert in Electronic Devices and Circuits, VLSI System Design.

 Dr. Rameshwar Rao, Dean Projects, CVR College of Engineering: Ph.D from IIT, Bombay, 1990. He successfully guided 11 Doctorates and 4 are in progress He has 14 years R&D Expreience in HAL, 26 years teaching experience. He served as professor, Dean, and Chairman of BOS in Osmania University and as a Vice Chancellor in JNTUH. He was Convener for PGECET during 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 and Chairman, EAMCET 2012, 2013 & 2014. He was awarded with Sir Akbar Ali Hydari Gold Medal, Osmania University Students’ Gold medal, and Sharad Kumar Pathak Gold Medal. Secured Second State Rank in Higher Secondary Multipurpose Examination, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the year 1970. Secured First Rank in Special Examination in Mathematics conducted by the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, 1971. He coordinates many short term courses in Osmania University. He received B Tech degree in Electronics Engineering from Nagarjuna University in 1998, M Tech Degree in Opto-Electronics and Laser Technology in 2001 from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin and Ph D in Electronics Communications Engineering from Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad in the year 2013. He is a fellow of IETE, India; a senior member of IEEE, USA and a life member of ISTE, India.  He is having 23 years of teaching experience. He is working as Professor in the department of ECE and Associate Dean-Academics, CVR College of Engineering Hyderabad. His research interests include Wireless Communications, Bio-medical/adaptive signal processing, GNSS, Machine/Deep learning methods. He has guided 30 B Tech. projects and 4 M Tech projects and 1 Ph D thesis in these areas. 3 more research scholars are under his supervision.  He has completed an AICTE project entitled “Study and Implementation of Self–Organized Femtocells for Broadband Services to Indoor Users in Heterogeneous Environment” under the Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) with a sanctioned grant of 24.3 Lakhs. He published 6 book chapters in Springer, Singapore. He published a patent on “A Method for Two-Dimensional Digital Image Skeletonization and its Implementation on FPGA”. Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Assistant Professor

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad (Telangana) from July 2017. He pursued Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra of Haryana (India), in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He has completed Ph.D. from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh), India in 2017. He has published more than 60 research papers in reputed Journals, Book chapters, and Conferences and these are also available online. He has published one patent on use of GSM technology in electricity meters. He is the reviewer of many reputed journals including IEEE Transaction of Industrial Informatics, Springer, Wiley, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, etc. He is the lifetime member of computer society of India (CSI) and Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and professional member of IEEE. He has presented two invited expert lectures on advanced wireless technologies. He has completed one project of 2 lakh under NewGen IEDC, funded by DST, Government of India. He shows active participation in various technical project exhibitions and competitions i.e. Smart India Hackathon (SIH), Toycathon, Project-Expo, etc. One team of six students under his guidance won first prize of 1 lakh in SIH-2019 at IIT Kharagpur, conducted by MHRD innovation cell. His project was also selected for post-hackathon competition to receive grants for start-up. His main research work focuses on Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks, Routing Protocols, Optimization, and IoT. He has approx. 6 years of teaching experience and 3.8 years of research experience. He has guided 16 B.Tech projects and 2 M.Tech dissertations.

Dr. S Priscilla Scarlet, Assistant Professor

Dr. S. Priscilla Scarlet received B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from S. A. Engineering College (affiliated to Anna University Chennai) in 2008. She has obtained her M.E degree in VLSI Design from SSN College of Engineering (affiliated to Anna University Chennai) in 2013. Furthermore, she has specialized in the area of Nanoelectronics, with a Ph.D. from SSN College of Engineering (affiliated to Anna University Chennai) in 2018. She has 3 years of experience in software industry, 4.5 years in research and 3 years in teaching. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of ECE, CVR College of Engineering Hyderabad. Her research interests include nanoelectronics and MEMS.

The meaning of the above stanza is self-evident. Nothing comes from nothing; nothing ever could. Success and achievements are commensurate with will power, hard work, grit and resourcefulness. The day has come when every student should realize that with globalization and immense change in the international scenario added to the recent upheavals in the world economy, the multinational companies and the corporate world have changed their outlook and methods of assessments for placing candidates in their companies. Earlier students with distinction in studies were the first to be chosen for the top jobs. Now the trends have changed and the candidates are chosen not just for good marks, but more than that they are tested for the knowledge they have retained with them.

In these days of totally urbanized  atmosphere, the CVR Campus is like a breath of fresh air set amidst landscaped gardens and with a highly surcharged interactive atmosphere among students, faculties and mentors. I am really excited to inform you that CVR continues to attract the best students and faculty, the key pillars of any premier educational institution. As the number of engineering colleges in AP went past 700 during 2011-12 we looked at what we have accomplished – CVR is ranked as the #1 college among more than 600 colleges in AP that started in the last decade.

While we are very pleased and thrilled with the developments at CVR over the past eleven years, we are not resting on our laurels but continuing to work hard in making CVR one of the premier technical institutions in the State of  Telangana. It gives me immense pleasure in informing you that CVR was ranked as the 8th best co-educational college among all colleges in Osmania University area during EAMCET-2011 counseling. It is the expectation of the academic community that CVR is on the successful path to be in the TOP-5 amongst all colleges in OU area in the next year or two. CVR has the highest pass percentage among 300+ co-educational colleges affiliated to JNTUH for three-semester examinations in a row.
